Who am I ?

Hi,

My name is Samuele Gobbi, a young Swiss engineer, dreamer and maker. I love having ideas and bringing them to life, I do a lot of practical work and I love to confront myself with new challanges to improve upon my skills, personally or professionally.

I finished my Bachelor in 2021 in HEIA-FR as an electrical engineer and I am currently finishing my master thesis.

One of my passions is comining engineering with art. Making visually stunning machines that inspire and give a sense of flow. I love technology but when used properly for the right motivations, the best solution is ofter the simpliest.

Tesla Coil

During my bachelor school I build a Tesla Coil demonstator for my school. This project was just for fun, financed by the school and external to any project.

I had a pleasure to work with HEIA-FR to build this amazing and inspiring piece of technology

And if anyone asks:

" Nice ... but what is this device for? "

After a long reflection I finally found the answer:

"This device is art. It is a demonstration of the hidden beauty of electricity, as well as a technical challenge against the very nature of high voltage, which often tends to be unwanted and difficult to tame."
